Dr Kirsten Small is a retired obstetrician / gynaecologist. Her PhD explored the impact of central fetal monitoring systems on maternity professionals. Kirsten produces the popular and well-respected Birth Small Talk blog - providing regular evidence updates about all aspects of fetal monitoring. She is the author of the best-selling book Monitoring Your Baby In Labour: An Evidence-Based Guide to Planning Your Birth. Kirsten lives on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia.
