Biography:
Dr. Pettersson completed her training in Pediatrics and Neonatology at the department of Pediatrics in Örebro University Hospital in Sweden, and is currently Section head of the Neonatology department. In 2021 Dr Pettersson defended her doctoral thesis with the title "Routine Procedures in the Care of the Full-Term Newborn" at Örebro University.
She combines clinical work in the Neonatology department with research focused on neonatal hyperbilirubinemia, home phototherapy and pain in newborns.
In 2025 she has been part of updating Swedish national guidelines on treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia.
