Biography:

Lani Lieberman is a pediatric hematologist and transfusion medicine specialist based in Toronto, and serves as one of the directors of the University Health Network blood banks and affiliated sites. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. Dr. Lieberman’s work focuses on advancing transfusion practices in neonatal, pediatric, and obstetrical populations. She has played a key leadership role nationally as Chair of the Canadian Obstetric and Pediatric Transfusion Medicine Network and internationally through her guideline publications with ICTMG related to FNAIT and HDFN, as well as her role as Chair of the Pediatrics Subcommittee of the AABB. Through her sustained leadership, guideline development, and educational initiatives, including the development of national transfusion curricula, Dr. Lieberman has made impactful contributions to the advancement of transfusion medicine practice in Canada.
