Biography:

Agnes Ndunguru holds a BSc Midwifery, a Postgraduate Diploma in Nutrition in Pregnancy, and is a Registered Midwife and the Founder and Director of Audentia Birth Center in Tanzania. With over a decade of clinical experience, she has attended more than 3,000 births and pioneered waterbirth services in Tanzania, while advocating for the use of birth balls and stools to support physiologic birth.
Through her childbirth education, Agnes empowers expectant parents with knowledge and confidence for childbirth. As a digital influencer known as “Midwife Aggie,” she uses social media to raise awareness of midwife-led care and the vital role of midwives in maternal health. Her innovative approach to education, advocacy, and media engagement has increased the visibility of midwifery and inspired women to seek professional maternity care.
