GOLD Midwifery 2019 is brimming with the latest research and clinical skills to bring your care to the next level.

With 13 global speakers sharing their expertise and insights, you’ll tap into these outstanding resources without the extra cost and time associated with in-person conferences. Join us from anywhere with an internet connection! You’ll enjoy live and recorded presentations, downloadable speaker handouts, and connections with delegates in exclusive forums.

Early Bird registration is open until January 24, offering you a great opportunity to save. Reduced rates are also available for full-time students, groups, and for select country categories. To kick off this year’s conference, we’ll be joined on February 4 by Betty-Anne Daviss MA, RM with her Opening Keynote Presentation. In “Speaking Truth to Power: Childbirth Models on the Human Rights’ Frontier” attendees will hear about the progress of national and international efforts to improve childbirth. Betty-Anne will highlight the problems with the drive for privatization and centralization of health care services, the bullying between and among professions, and the unorthodox models that can be used even in dire circumstances. This event is free to the general public.

Our main conference brings you 13.5 hours of accredited education from 13 international expert speakers. Presentations cover a wide variety of topics of interest to today’s midwife, including the use of sterile water injections, perinatal cannabis use, pharmacological management of nausea and vomiting, and much more. These presentations will be shared live and then will be available as recordings throughout the conference period. GOLD Midwifery 2019 also gives you the option of accessing three additional lecture packs to enhance your learning in key areas. Managing Complications During Birth is a brand new lecture pack with practical information on managing potential complications during birth and the immediate postpartum period. The Mental Health in the Perinatal Period lecture pack offers six mental health focused presentations, while the Suturing Skills & Perineal Repair lecture pack from GynZone includes an additional six hours of education to deepen your suturing skills.

On February 25, we’ll wrap up our live presentations with Closing Keynote “Humanising Birth” from Lesley Page, CBE, PHD, MSC, BA, RM, HFRCM, HON DSC. This presentation will help us look at birth as significant to not only the baby, but also to the mother, her family, and society. Lesley’s presentation will guide us from a broad view of politics and the status of women through to a focused look at practice. Attendees will have an opportunity to reflect and develop ideas on balanced care. As with our Opening Keynote, this event is free to the public.

Invite your friends and colleagues to reserve their seat so they can learn along with you. We look forward to seeing you all at this year’s conference, whether you’re a long-time delegate or you’re joining us for the very first time!
