GOLD Midwifery Conference News

We’re getting ready for our best GOLD Midwifery conference yet and we can’t wait to see you there! Join us online from February 1 to April 2 at GOLD Midwifery 2021 Online Conference and connect with the latest research and recommendations in maternity care.

Our 7th annual online conference brings you a program rich in both research and clinical skills you can begin applying immediately in your practice. 13 expert speakers join us in the main conference alone, with topics ranging from epilepsy in pregnancy to resolving malposition, providing wound care after cesarean birth, and so much more.

We’ll kick things off live on February 1 with Opening Keynote Speaker Stephanie Tillman, CNM and “Trauma-Informed Pelvic Care In the Time of COVID-19”. This webinar will be presented live twice that day, free to the public. We’ll examine ways to integrate trauma-informed care into practice and explore how the pandemic has impacted current practice.

Our live conference presentations will take place throughout the month of February. Come join in live chats, participate in speaker polls, and ask your questions during Q & A sessions! Recordings of all presentations will also be available to watch throughout the conference period, helping you to learn at your own pace and to re-watch presentations as many times as you like. Download speaker handouts and connect online with colleagues from around the world!

Our Closing Keynote takes place live on February 22. Ruth Oshikanlu, RN RM RSCPHN BSc MSc DUniv will share her fascinating presentation “Attachment Begins in Utero: The Vital Role of Facilitating Parental-Foetal Bonding”. As with our Opening Keynote, this webinar is free for the public and will be shared  live twice then available as a recording. This presentation will take a close loose at parent-foetal attachment and the midwife’s unique role in supporting this important relationship.

In addition to the main conference, delegates can access special lecture packs to further their education in specific areas of maternal-infant health. Preventing and Healing Trauma in the Perinatal Period, Breastfeeding and Medically Complex Infants, and Infant Sleep: Science and Social Factors each offer presentations with valuable insights into these important areas.

Registration is open now, so sign up today to join our international community of maternity care providers: https://www.goldmidwifery.com/conference/registration
