Delivering From Experience... Nurturing Knowledge
Delivering a Highly Informative, Convenient, Affordable and Interactive Continuing Education Experience
GOLD Midwifery 2016 explores the latest trends and research in the field of midwifery care. Our goal is to help bridge the gap between established protocols and approaches and the rapid growth of new research. This new research often challenges our way of thinking about the lifelong impact that both birth and breastfeeding have on mother and baby and consequently families and society as a whole.
This year we have an exciting line up of speakers who will be providing new insights into the importance of kindness and compassion in maternity care, water birth and managing breech water deliveries, essential oils as part of the birth kit, how mother-baby attachment impacts epigentics, the consequences of birth trauma for the infant, dealing with fetal malposition, getting breastfeeding off to the best possible start and involving fathers in the birthing process, as well as offering the latest research and thoughts on meconium at delivery, and group B strep. With expert speakers such as Sheena Byrom, Gail Tully, Mark Harris, Carolyn Hastie and Barbara Harper to name a few, this conference promises to be full of both information and inspiration.
